Gwendolen Boyle purchased William J. Galloway’s practice on October 28, 2018
and opened for business as GC Boyle Law Firm.

GC Boyle Law Firm’s moto is “Cultivating Change” and Gwendolen and her staff are committed Yo making everyone’s experience a positive one. We are an inclusive and accessible business that welcomes everyone regardless of race or sexual identity. GC Boyle is a proud supporter of the community and hosts the “Secret Marathon” every year on International Woman’s Day. Gwendolen has been a member of the St. Mary's Lion’s Club for a number of years and is very proud to be the current President.


GC Boyle Law Firm’s staff love animals and our lovable “Stevie” will welcome you most times at the door. We believe that animals comfort people when they are going through an emotional time and Stevie does a great job with showing her love for all. We are an animal-friendly practice and support causes that assist with positive animal welfare. If you are not comfortable with dogs, please advise reception when you book your appointment so that Stevie can stay home that day.


We are located in the small Town of St. Mary's, 30 minutes east of London and 20 minutes west of Stratford. The small town feel is evident at GC Boyle Law Firm, offering kindness and respect to everyone.

Gwendolen Boyle

Gwendolen Boyle is the CEO, Director, and Counsel of GC Boyle Law Firm. Gwendolen purchased the business from Mr. William Galloway in 2018 and continues to offer a similar general practice. She provides leadership, negotiation, and strategic advisory services in many areas of law. Gwendolen graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, where she developed an interest in education law and equality. During law school, Gwendolen became a supporter of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund and the Indigenous Law Students’ Association.

 

Gwendolen volunteered with Pro Bono Help Centre at the Ottawa Courthouse where she supported the organization in providing legal help to those facing financial barriers. Gwendolen completed an internship at Tremblay Law Office in Ottawa in family law. Gwendolen supported counsel in legal research, drafting, and filing documents with the Ontario Superior Court as well as international adoption.


Gwendolen joined the Law Practice Program where she joined London Life as the Assistant Manager of Global Compliance. Gwendolen conducted research in global compliance laws of 8 countries. Gwendolen graduated from Western University where she completed an Honors Degree in Psychology with distinction.

 

Gwendolen brings to GC Boyle Law Firm a wealth of experience and knowledge. Gwendolen has spent countless hours working with kids diagnosed with mental and physical disabilities. Gwendolen has also created and donated quilts to the Quilt Project in Stratford which supported cures for breast cancer.

 

Gwendolen enjoys her down time by spending time with her family and pets and by running. Gwendolen’s newest enjoyment is her motorcycle, she hopes to meet many people at rest stops and second-hand stores.

Harmanpreet Kaur

Harmanpreet Kaur is a motivated and ambitious legal professional licensed to practice law in India. She has a diverse background and a strong interest in cross-cultural legal understanding, which lends a unique perspective to our firm.

Harmanpreet completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at Panjab University in India and obtained her law license in 2020. She worked as a Legal Associate, where she gained valuable experience and demonstrated proficiency in civil law. In 2022, Harmanpreet enrolled in a post-degree diploma program in Human Resource Management at York University, Canada, to broaden her knowledge and explore the world.  During this time, she cleared five NCA exams to gain equivalency to Juris Doctor in Canada.

In August 2023, Harmanpreet joined the Law Practice Program at Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, and began working as a Student at Law at our firm in January 2024. She is currently gaining valuable experience in family law, municipal law, business law, and real estate. Harmanpreet is actively involved in client intakes and researching legal topics.

Harmanpreet has a background in Indian law and is passionate about exploring the intersections between Indian law and Canadian law to promote legal harmony and understanding in an increasingly globalized world. She is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and English. Harmanpreet is committed to leveraging her diverse background and expertise to address complex legal challenges and make a meaningful impact in the legal profession. She has a particular interest in family law and is dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to common issues faced by people in society. She is also passionate about advocating for human rights and employment rights.

In her free time, Harmanpreet enjoys travelling and cooking. She loves exploring new places and experimenting with recipes in the kitchen.

Harmanpreet' s diverse legal background, cross-cultural expertise, and language skills make her an invaluable asset to our firm. Her passion for advocacy and commitment to continuous learning bring a unique perspective to client engagement and legal solutions.

Melanie Higgin

Solicitor’s Assistant and Estate Manager
Melanie joined GC Boyle Law Firm in 2022 after working for more than 20 years at an Insurance Company in the Market Conduct area.
Melanie assists on all Estate matters as well as being Gwendolen’s Assistant on many other matters. She ensures the office is running smoothly, she works at a fast pace and is diligent in keeping track of all files. Her problem-solving skills and dedication are evident each and every day.


Melanie is learning the game of billiards and enjoys riding her motorcycle any chance she can, weather permitting.

Janice Thomson

Janice been a part of GC Boyle Law Firm as Receptionist for 3 years.
Janice has worked in many small business offices including insurance, claims departments and 25 years in the agricultural business as Office Assistant.
Outside of GC Boyle Law Firm, Janice enjoys quilting and reading books based on the Great War & WWII and horticulture.

Avery Hoskins

Avery is an honor student at St. Marys DCVI high school. Avery has been working 2 days a week for 3 years at GC Boyle Law Firm.
Avery helps with errands, scanning documents, housekeeping jobs and many other behind the scenes chores. Avery is a wonderful asset to the firm.


Outside of GC Boyle Law Firm, Avery enjoys gaming and watching history documentaries.

Stevie

Stevie is a 5-year-old Rottweiler and Lab mix, she has a very important role at GC Boyle Law Firm. She loves to welcome everyone to the office and will comfort clients as needed.
